About Me

My photo
Richard Schoen
My career developing software began with the IBM System/36 in 1984. I was one of the first software developers to develop on the AS/400 when it was released in 1988. In 1988 I also began my journey learning how to program on the PC. Since 1990 I have been involved in the development of commercial software for document management, report and data delivery, business process and workflow automation and continue to be instrumental in helping companies save time and money by automating their daily work. I was also president and CTO of RJS Software Systems Inc. until 2014 when we were acquired by HelpSystems. I have worked on the AS/400 - IBM i, Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS and Android platforms and am well versed in most relevant technologies including Microsoft .Net (VB/C#), Java, PHP, RPG, CL, C, Salesforce, Dynamics, Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure. I have also been working with Node, Python, Perl, Git and other relevant open source languages and technologies.
